Hi! I'm wondering how people are handling the flu shot while TTC? We're actively trying (two negs, I'm thinking AF is coming this month once again, sadly) but I would like to get the flu shot. I plan on calling my OBGYN (who knows we're TTC) but was still wondering how others are handling it. I've read that pregnant women shouldn't get the nasal dose, I don't get that anyway. I'm planning on the regular shot in the arm causes lots of pain method.

Has anyone been told by their doctor not to get it? If so, why? I have a child who was born with a brain malformation and even though I didn't do any of the no-nos that pregnancy, I'd like to stay away from anything unnecessary. But I believe getting the flu while pregnant is worse?
