    Question Ready for baby #2????

hi all, so my daughter is 9 1/2 months, awhile ago i had this crazy dream that my daughter just turned 9 months and i found out i was prego again with twin boys. so ever since i had that dream i have been scared about getting pregnant so quickly. with our daughter it took us a year and 2 months to get prego with her so i dont think it will be quick before we can have a baby again. im on bc and we dont use any other form of protection. finacially im not sure we can afford another baby right now but my husband says if we did get prego now then by the time the baby came we would be fine. i sometimes have "baby fever" for wanting #2 but then other times im like well i want to wait awhile because im not sure about having my kids so close together. i guess im wondering if someone has had kids close together and whats that like and if i should wait awhile before having another?

Currently I have only one child who is 18 mo old. I too had pregnancy "scares" (when I get overly tired I get all the early symptoms of pregnancy, esp moring sickness). :-) But since he still is not sleeping through the night, I am glad I don't have a second baby on the way yet. However, I know someone whose babies are 17 mo apart and they are very happy.

My doctor did say 2 years from birth to birth gives the woman's body enough time to heal, and the older child is a little more independent. I read in a magazine a study that said at least 18 mo before getting pregnant again is ideal. I have heard others say that you want your 1st to be a little older, because it is hard to carry 2 up the stairs. So, if you have a baby before you inteneded, it will work out, it always does. But you might consider waiting a bit before trying.
