    Default help for a friend

I have a friend who has a son who is very active, he is 5. He is somewhat difiant and does not mid well at all. Taking him anywhere in public is almost mentally and phycically exhausting. He won't sit still, refuses to follow directions and is even worse when disciplined. spanking does not work for her.
Today she discovered the fish were gone. she asked him where they were an he told her he cut them up with a knife as he didn't want them anymore. This child can be so kind and sweet, yet there are times he is a sheer bully even to other children.
she asked him if he knew this was wrong and he sees nothing wrong with this. She is very disturbed by his behavior and is in sheer emotional meltdown.

I think he may need psych care and may be ADHD, anyone, please your thoughts....
    THANK YOU

I think your thoughts are right on. I would suggest she take him for an evaluation by a psychiatrist and/or a counselor. She can get a referral from her PCP.
