My left hip has hurt ever since I gave birth, my daughter is almost 3... I went to a physical Therapist/Chiropractor and they informed me that my hip never went back into joint. I had x-rays done and everything. It took the Doctor 5 minutes to tell me. He measured my legs and one leg was longer then the other. It also hurts more with the more weight that I lose. I go to the doctor and he does his wrestling moves and pops it back into joint but it pops right back out...

Craniosacral therapy!!!! I get terrible pain in my lower back / hips when I lay on my back. It has happened when my first son was born (now 18 mo) and is back now that I am 25 weeks with #2. I would highly recommend Craniosacral therapy. It is wonderful, there is no cracking of anything. I have used it in the past and it has helped more than I can tell you. I am currently going to get ready for my August delivery. While they cannot adjust my hips just yet because I am not far enough along and we do not want anything starting...I cannot wait to have it fixed once I deliver. I have tried everything that you can think of from massage to chiropractic to accupunture to try to fix this in the past and this is the only thing that has worked for me. I used it after a car accident about 10 years ago for a neck injury and it was wonderful. Best of Luck!!! Let me know if you try it and how it works for you.

Ask your doctor about any type of pain management or physical therapy that may be helpful. I had a baby a few years ago and during the delivery, my tailbone broke. It took lots of patience because the doctors and nurses kept telling me it wasnt possible. Finally I begged for an xray and found that it was broken. I became pregnant shortly after and had a terrible time with the pregnancy b/c of the break not having time to heal much so I didnt have alot of pelvic support. I was in constant pain and my doctor sent me to physical therapy and a pain management clinic. It was a great alternative to pain meds and helped out alot!

Another thing I would suggest - The 10 Minute Miracle Ball Method. Sounds crazy, I know. But it works great! It helps to realign your spine, hips, etc. I have fibromyalgia from the tail bone incident and the Ball Method helps out with the pain. I even have my husband using them everyday. They are two small rubber balls that you place under your back (or elsewhere depending on what you are working on). All you do is lay there. I almost promise they would help. You can do an amazon search, thats where I found them.

This thread has been most helpful! I recently gave birth to my first child and I had been having pelvis/hip/back pain since I was about 29 weeks preganant. After delivery, the pressure and pain that I felt eased up somewhat, but I now walk with a very noticeable limp! Everyone kept telling me that it was the weight from the prengnancy and that it will go back to normal after the delivery but I knew there had to be more to it than that. After reading all of these posts, I don't think I'm crazy anymore. I'm going to schedule an appointment with my doctor ASAP. Thank you all for sharing and I hope that these aches and pains will soon be a thing of the past for all of us!

This has been really great for me as well. I feel like the pain I feel in my hips will pass - now I know I really need to follow-up with the doctor and look into physical therapy. I was in such extreme pain by the end of my pregnancy I would cry trying to get comfortable in bed. My daughters is 4-months old and my hips pop when I roll over but the pain is much less. However, after spending a lot of time on the floor with my little girl or even sometimes after sex - the pain is back with a vengeance.

I need to pay more attention to triggers and look into physical therapy!

I too have the same issue. Did you get a diagnosis? I have had blood drawn to check for arthritis and it came back negative. My son is now 3 1/2 years old.
