Where is everybody??? Seems like you all disappeared!

Anyway, I went to the dr and he didnt know what was going on with my face. He referred me to a neurologist...who knows who long its gonna take to here back about an appt!!! In the mean time my face has gone back to normal.
So while at my appt the dr decided to listen for a heartbeat but it was too early to hear, so I got another ultra sound!! YAY! It was amazing...perfectly formed baby, moving around like crazy! The tech pointed out to us what she believes is a penis but when she saw that my husband was about to jump threw the roof with joy she quickly warned him it is still too early to call. But we all saw it, so unless it was the cord it may very well be a boy!! Honestly I will be so happy either way. I want to give my hubby a son, but I also want my daughter to have a sister.

I also want to welcome tkaybug! Congrats on your baby, I wish you a very easy pregnancy! And also, dont worry about not having had a newborn around for so long...once a mother always a mother, and you will do what comes natural!

    p.s.
my "puke free" pregnancy run is officially over *sad sigh*

I'm still here! Nothing "exciting" going on right now, which I guess is a good thing! I'm 13 weeks today, and so far this has been pretty much the "perfect" pregnancy. This last week has been a little rough, with headaches that got progressively worse as the week went on. My doctor had said I can take Tylenol, but I don't want to take it every day, you know? So I've been drinking more water and trying to ride it out the best that I can. Finally, last night it had reached migraine level, but I migraine medicine has aspirin in it, soo..... I finally took two extra strength at 4am this morning and then slept for the next 6 hours. Finally feeling better, so I guess I'll see what happens over the next couple days.

Next appt is Oct. 23, which seems far away, but I know it will be here before I know it. I'll be almost 16 weeks. I can't wait to see how much Baby has grown from 10 weeks.

Clothes have tightened too, just this past week. I can still wear my normal jeans....but I can't button them comfortably anymore. I've been using the hair tie looped through the buttonhole trick.

Tkaybug...Welcome! Feel free to share your joys (and pains!) anytime!

Rosy...How weird! I'm glad you're feeling "normal" again. Maybe this was just a fluke thing? Were you able to get an appointment with a neurologist?

    Take care, all...

    Hey ladies,

Well, this has been a rough week. I haven't kept down a single thing and I caught my husbands sinus funk on top of it. Long story short, I just finished a 4 day hospital stay. I was constantly on fluids and fluids with vitamins, anti-nausia medication that they give chemo patients, and some other stuff. I can honestly say I can't think of a time in my life I have felt that miserably sick. I got home Saturday and was still to sick to attend my sons 2nd birthday party, which I insisted they still have without me. Today is my first time home alone with my toddler and I still feel horrible. I may have to call in some help. I am scared of today. I just have no idea how i'm going to keep up with him.
Rosey, do you think it could have been sinuses? Sometimes they will give you a toothache cuz of the pressure they put on them. Congrats on the ultrasound. I can say that is the one good thing about my visit. They couldn't find the baby with the doppler except for a second here or there, so we had to do an ultrasound because the little rascal wouldn't hold still. Isn't it funny to see how much they are moving and you can't feel a thing yet? Keep us posted on your doc appts.
Navybride, I'm so glad that you're not going through what I am. You are soooo lucky. I don't know if you have allergies to meds or not, but when I had that horrible headache in the hospital, my doc gave me fioricet. Let me just give you a timeline on this... I took the pills while in my bed, got up and went to the bathroom, came back to bed, and my headache that I had for days was GONE! It was amazing. You should ask your doc about that stuff. I'ts amazing.
Hey Tkaybug. I'm hoping things are going well for you this time around. Welcome to the group.

Four days in the hospital is such a long time, it MUST have been serious! And to top it off, having to miss out on your baby's birthday party, too?!? OMG, that must have been sooo hard for you! I am really rooting for your quick recovery! If you are fontunate enough to have someone come and help out for a few days, do it!! You need your rest!!....Please keep us posted!

    Hello April Moms,

How is everyone doing? Geoh, hopefully you're feeling back to normal by now?

Nothing really new here. I'm feeling frustrated with my "pudgy" stage. My normal jeans are too tight to fit comfortably now, but maternity pants don't fit right yet either. Myself and husband notice a definite change, but of course to the rest of the world it just looks like I've been hitting the cheesecake too hard. Oh well. All in good time.

I have my 16 week appointment on the 23rd and then we'll schedule the "big" gender ultrasound. As much as I've heard about the fun of letting Baby be a surprise, I'm just too controlling to NOT know. Everything else in this pregnancy is pretty much out of my hands, I figure I can at least control nursery colors and clothing!

Hope all you ladies are well!

    Unhappy

Oh how funny navybride, I logged on today to gripe about the same exact thing....my rapidly expanding ASSests!! LOL Now even with this being my second time around, this pregnancy is very different than my first. My dr. warned me that I would experience things alot sooner (i.e what didnt happen till my 5th month would happen around my 3rd) and she was right! My stomach has gotten huge...but its not hard, round and cute... its saggy fat and just uugghh!! LOl You had me laughing so hard when you compared your body to eating too much cheesecake...my husband had just brought me home a single slice of cheesecake and I was loving every bite and thinking to myself "man I need to make a cheesecake, I bet I could eat the whole thing myself!!" just as I was reading your post! HAHAHA How ironic, huh??!!
Anyhow, I hope all you ladies are doing ok. Geoh I hope you have experienced some relief from those horrible boughts of sickness!! I cant wait to hear an update on your condition.
p.s Today marks the first day of my 13th week! I made it! YAY I finally shared the news with my fam last week, I felt like the 12th week would never come!! Its such a load lifted off my shoulders (and shifted to my belly) lol!! Now I feel its ok to celebrate and actually enjoy being pregnant! Congrats to us all who were fortunate enough to make it this far!

    Hey Ladies,

I've stopped throwing up long enough to want to touch my laptop. You guys crack me up. I'm so fat I can't even zip my jeans let alone button them, and none of my shirts look good so I have been wearing big baggy t's and you know how flattering everyone must think that is. Even those still show my babby bump... more like baby blob.
I'm with you Navybride. I'm also to controlling to wait until the big day to find out the sex. How do people do that? I mean, you have to know what color stuff to buy. I envy people who don't worry like I do.
Rosey guess what? I held down a piece of cheesecake the other day, too! Today is my first day of feeling mostly good. It is so weird. I feel good when I get out of bed, and then I eat and get all crappy again. I'm just so tired of feeling this way, but with my history, who knows how long this will last. I hope at least this part of my pregnancy is text book and it goes away soon. Congrats on 13 weeks. It's really a relief isn't it?
I'm going to try to squeeze in a nap while my son is asleep. I'll check in later.

    Hello again,

I had my second doctor's appointment this morning. Baby was so active that the midwife at first had trouble measuring the heartbeat. Every time she'd find it, there's be a THUMP and it would be gone, as Baby flipped or kicked or swam away. Once she did, it measured in at 150, so he/she is strong and active! All my measurements are matching up, too. It's a reassurance to know that everything is going as it should be, since I can't feel anything yet. Also, we scheduled our gender ultrasound for November 13th (I'll be 19 weeks). So three weeks and we'll know which team we're rooting for!

Geoh, are you feeling any better yet? How is everyone else doing?

Geoh, I too hope you are feeling better. Keep us posted.
As for me, I am feeling the same. I am very happy today because my brother just got home from an 8 month deployment to Iraq!! He's a seabee in the Navy, and we are all so relieved he's home safe! Navybride, can I ask what your husband does and where he's stationed? 3 of my 4 siblings are all in the navy, 2 sis's 1 bro...stationed all over; washington state, great lakes, ill. and now by bro is back here in Cali. This weekend they are all flying in so for the first time in a long time we will all be together! Im very excited!!

Rosy, you have alot to celebrate in your corner of the world too! 8 months is a long time, I know you must be feeling over the moon. My husband is an officer, he/we spent the last 4 years on sea duty, stationed in Norfolk, VA. This summer we moved to Washington, DC, for shore duty and he now has a desk job here.

Have a wonderful weekend with your family!
