No it is not uncomon to have your apt with dr that. I am on my 4th pregnancy and didn't have apt's till like 8th week or later. and that apt was usual the update one where they take all your info and family histiry, do blood work and 1 hr glucotose test (for gestional diabestes) wutch i hade with my last too pregnancys so mostlikly again I was insulin dependant for both 1st one since 8 weeks and 3rd since like 20 weeks. I have my first apt 9-15. I will be aprox 9 weeks. Sorry for rambling ...lol.... pregnant mind tends to scatter and babble... So don't worry things will be fine and just maybe you can hear the heart beat ( maybe -it is realyy hard that early but you might. my very first pregnancy i heard her heart at 11 weeks ) but if you don't = don't get discouraged. Babies like to play hide and seek with doctors too... ha Good luck And hope you have a happy pregnancy

I am also due April 29th; I go today to have an ultrasound and to do the health history. They are doing the ultrasound due to, too much spotting. But I am hoping that everything will turn out just fine. I will let all of you know what I find out when I’m done. My appointments is at 1 so only a few hours away. Does anyone else have really bad morning/all day sickness? If so what are you doing for it?

    Talking

Hi ladies! I just returned from my follow up ultra sound and I am so excited to report that we have a heart beat! Not only a visable heart beat, but a whole baby!! I am so amazed how much it grew in just 2 weeks! He/she went from a tiny speck at the end of a yolk sack to an actual baby! I know I sound crazy, I just wasnt expecting to see what I saw! I can see where the eyes and mouth will soon be, little nubs for arms and a tail soon to be legs!! I cannot believe how much it has developed! Ladies our bodies truly are amazing machines!!

Ok so now I want to talk symptoms...I dont know about you guys but I am so freakin gassy and bloated all day, I feel like a lead ball is in my stomach!! And I was so constipated last week I thought I was gonna die! My boobs hurt and I am so exhausted no matter how much rest I get! The good thing is Im not puking my guts out yet...I only get nauseous when I need food or am especially gassy. oh yeah and my skin (which is always clear) is breaking out so bad I could swear I was going through puberty all over again! Someone please tell me Im not alone!!

How is everyone else feeling?? Lets compare notes and remedies!!

If anyone else is having bathroom blunders...DRINK HOT WATER AND LEMON... i swear its a miracle elixir... a cure all for gas and um.."blockage"!! LOL It also really helped with my nausea!

    Hello all,

I went in today for my health history appointment, and will be going back tomorrow for my 1st u/s (10 weeks). I have an "official" due date now (April 10), so looks like a little Easter "bunny" for us. I'll be relieved tomorrow, when we should be able to see the baby and hear the heartbeat. Since my m/s has been very mild, I want to know that everything is okay, and that I'm just one of the fortunate ones.

Rosycozy, I'm just started to get my energy back after almost 6 weeks of total exhaustion in the afternoons. But my skin...oh dear heavens....my skin....I haven't had this many breakouts since high school. I wish I had a solution, but I don't, so I just keep cleaning my face regularly and hoping it'll fade eventually.

    Hopefully

    Default Here He/She Is!

A strong heartbeat, and very active baby were found today. Rookie "mistake": I had NO idea that they were so active this early. S/he was dancing all over the place!

Very excited to have taken that step. And I'm proof now that light morning sickness has nothing to do with the health of a baby. S/he is measuring exactly where s/he should be, and has a "big head!" according to my doctor (fan....tastic)

    Just wanted to share.

    Smile I'm thrilled

I had my first appointment and based off my LMP which was 7-11 my DR thought i was 5.5 weeks. My doctor ordered an ultrasound, and they found the yolk sack but they can't see the heartbeat. My doctor says that I was just not as far along as we thought, we had a due date of April 17th. We had a second ultrasound just the other day and now my due date has been pushed back to the end of April. Anyway, it seems that I'm only 7 weeks along now, we did get a heartbeat so I'm really glad about that.
