    Question Annaleigh

My husband and I picked out (and are set on) naming our daughter Annaleigh as her first name. The problem is, we need a one syllable middle name to go with it. Our last name is two syllables, so it'd REALLY be best to have one syllable in the middle.
We had picked out Annaleigh Grace, but then I found out that Anna means Gracious... So in essence her name would Gracious Meadow Graceful. =/

    So...any ideas?

I wonder if you've been waiting a long time to get a response! You've been so great in answering some of my questions - I hope you like my suggestions...I absolutely LOVE names, can't wait to have a little one of my own to name

Here are a few combinations that I think could work:

Annaleigh Dawn (that would be pretty - Gracious Meadow Sunrise!!!)
    Annaleigh Jade
    Annaleigh Reigh (pronounced RAY)
    Annaleigh Faith
    Annaleigh Belle
    Annaleigh Claire

    GOOD LUCK!!!

You know, I really like Annaleigh Grace, I wouldn't worry too much about how the meaning fits together because who really thinks about that in the long run. It won't define her as a person (and you can't have too much grace ;-)

I think if you both like it go with it, it is very pretty sounding together!

My girls baby name I chose is EmmaLeigh because I am spelling it like that and the name is sort of long I've opted not to have a middle name. Thats an option for your name too.... AnnaLeigh

Annaleigh Dawn is one I didn't think of. Thanks, I'll run your suggestions by my husband. He's kind of picky=). We were talking this weekend about just naming her Annaleigh Grace anyway. We'll see.
I also have considered leaving out a middle name, but then I thought, I may as well just name her anna leigh and make leigh her middle name. I don't know. Naming a person is kind of hard!! They're stuck with it their whole lives long!!

I know! Naming is really hard. We (luckily) picked out a girls name awhile ago (which worked out since we can't agree on a boys) lol. Anyway, her name will be Leah Claire and we are going to call her by her middle name "Claire". We have started calling my baby bump that already but still, every once in awhile I will refer to Claire and my hubby say's, "who?". I'm like, "um....your daughter, remember". Then he laughs and says "oh yeah!" What a goober!!

This is the name my husband and I are naming our baby girl due in December! He wanted to put the 2 names Anna and Leigh together and I looove Anna by itself but, it's actually grown on me so much! I will call her Anna for short (obviously) but, Our last name is 3 syllables so for a middle name I kinda made up "Charlae" pronounced sharlay. What do you think?

We have 2 girls Kamryn Paige and Heidi Ana (first names 2 syllables, middle names short) So, Anna Leigh just fits better. We'd be bending the rules with Annaleigh Charlae....

    Advice, please!

    haha, that's funny!
I guess someone in the world had to have picked the same name. =)

Charlae is definitely unique! I actually like it together! I was wanting a one syllable middle name, too, so that's why we picked Grace in the beginning. I think Charlae works very well with it, though. =)

My goodness, three girls! You'll have your hands FULL! =) At least you have plenty of girl stuff!

Yea, I let my husband name this one, actually...but I had to approve lol. We're naming her after his parents, Leslie Ann and Jerry Lee. He doesn't like Charlae so, we're going with first name Anna middle name Leigh. I'm content with that =]

I see you're from MS, I'm from Biloxi! Raised as a Keesler military brat sorta. Hope these storms haven't hit you too bad.

I think Annaleigh looks kinda smushed together and made-up. Anna with the middle name Leigh would be beautiful. You could always refer to her as Anna Leigh. It just looks better IMO. Annaleigh Grace doesn't flow well at all.
