Default The Best Day of Your Life?

In the June / July issue of Babytalk magazine, Geoff Williams shares the story (The Birth of a Father) of the day his daughter was born. He says that everyone told him, "it's going to be the best day of your life."

But when the time came, he said, "When we were in the delivery room, I was a little let down by how let down I was."

Let's hear from the dads. Did you experience a similar feeling? Is that "best day of your life" idea all a myth? And what, so far, has been your best day with your kids?

I can definitely look at that day as the day my life changed but not the best day of my life. Start out at 3am and then work through 16 hrs of labor. By the time you become dad, you're so tired you don't know what hit you. Definitely was the best thing to ever happen to me though.

Hello. I'm new and interested in marriage and family life. The best day of my life? It lies in the riddle: What is the only thing more precious in a man's life then his little jewel?

As a new dad. My son was born on the 14th early. He is doing great. I would have to say it was the scarest and best day of my life. The fact that it hit home that it is not just about me anymore I have someone that is depending on me in every way. Then I thought of all the frist things I get to do with him, the frist football game fishing trip to name a few. Not to mention the frist christmass. I could not be happier that I am now a father.
