    Question Health of Toddler???

    I'm a relative of a family with a general concern/question of a 15month old.

The 15 month old doesnt walk yet, but he can crawl and stand upright while hanging onto things. I think this is okay and he will eventually get there.

Second thing, some of the relatives think because he doesnt talk hardly at all yet, aka my 8th month old talks says words now and the 15 month old doesnt. Is this a concern?

Without actually showing you his head size they have a concern about that, his head size, roundness is huge. He's got the name chunk. Do some babies have huge, heads. Most people that dont know the family say his head size is rather large.

Last concern is when he drools because of teething he, drenches his cloths to the point his parents have to change his cloths a couple of times a day because they are soaking when to do slober.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    thanks,

    AmberT.

-Walking comes with practice, time, and coordination. "Normal" is a very broad range and he is still in it if he can crawl and pull himself up.

-Speech varies from kid to kid. Boys tend to talk later than girls do. At fifteen months, most boys aren't talking a whole lot, and that's okay. His parents can do a lot to help him in that department. Reading, learning toys, making silly sounds together, animal noises. Around age two is when the language skills REALLY pick up.

-As long as it's in proportion to his body, I'm sure he's fine. And if his pediatrician isn't concerned, I wouldn't be either.
    My son's measurements are:
    99 percentile: height
    85 percentile: weight
    94 percentile: head size
So, his body is proportional, though he technically does have a "big" head.

-He probably has multiple teeth coming in, or maybe some molars. He can just have a bib on him during the day so his mom or dad doesn't have to keep changing his shirt.

It's hard not to compare one kid to another, but all babies are different. It sounds like he is doing just fine!

Walking and talking both are natural thing which is automatically comes into baby at right time. At 15 months baby start walking with coordination and practice of walker. I think you have to buy walker for your baby which is the best tool to learn walking.
