You are most likely making plenty of milk. Given your lo's age, they're probably starting to hit a growth spurt and therefore, is nursing quite a bit more to stimulate more milk production. Hugs mama, you're doing great!

Around 5-6 weeks, most babies have a growth spurt and will nurse more frequently to increase your milk supply. That's probably what your son is doing. A lot of times, the baby will seem fussy and unsatisfied with the feedings during that time, but in a few days, he should settle down. If he continues it for longer than that, I would give your doctor a call, but I'm sure you'll both do fine. My son is going through a growth spurt too right now and I know how rough it can be, but IT WILL END! Just keep telling yourself that!

If you are concerned, buy a pump (or express by hand) and after each feeding pump for a couple minutes. This will let your body know that it needs to produce more milk.
If he's not being fussy though you probably are producing enough

I don't produce enough milk myself. I went to a lactaion consultant. She said anything with Malt will help. Oatmeal and TONS of water helps too.

    Hope that helps.

What worked for me is drinking more water, and of course the fenugreek..

But the magical thing known here in our local culture in Egypt is grilled fish

    Default Great milk supply recipe!

It is so tough when we feel like we are not making enough milk for our baby. I always feel that mom knows best, so if you feel you aren't making enough then follow your instincts.

I have an amazing breast milk supply recipe. It is a bit lengthy and a process, but I have had wonderful results with it. To check it out go to my website at www.childcaresavvy.com.

Let me know if it works for you!

    Smile Don't worry!

From a breast-feeding mom who worries WAY too much. Don't worry! Your body makes what it needs to - the advice from Vixen6981 is a good one. Once your baby has finished nursing, pump for a couple of minutes. That tricks your body into thinking it needs to produce more milk. Worked for me. Also, mother's milk tea worked so well that I had to stop any and all of the other tricks that were suggested to me. Only problem that I noticed was a little increase in gas in Baby Maddy. But, Mylicon took care of that. However, one of the best pieces of advice I received was, "don't worry!" Worrying increases your stress level, which decreases your milk supply. Good luck!
