Question Ovulation Kits/Test Strips Whats Better?

So i am glad to announce being a newbie on this great forum/blog site for those TTC and those with all the experiences of already having children. Its a great support system BY FAR!!! So My boyfriend and i are TTC as of about a month ago, yet I have been off birth control for almost a year now and in that time we never used any type of barrier for protection (we said if we had gotten prego we would have been excited, but now we are actually trying trying...) So heres the deal, charting... umm ya im lost my temperature changes so much all the time that i honestly wouldnt be able to give a good yay or nay if i was ovulating by using the charting methods, and to rather lean towards the OPK type items. But then arises the question, ovulation Kits like Ova-Cue etc or the good ol pee stick ones, which is better/more accurate? So after much discussion we figured we would ask all of you!!! We already invested in Instead Cups and Pre-Seed to up our odds during that time of needing to hold in all of the "Gold" so to speak (lol sorry) (if you dont know what INstead cups are they are supposedly great for helping with conceiving and possibly gender swaying, look it up, i heard it from one of my friends who has twins, and then the pre-seed is like CM but extremely sperm friendly) I also have PCOS and have previously been pregnant before which unfortunately led to miscarriage and so we are more than willing to try every gizmo gadget stick etc to make this happen, and of course the sooner the better. So ladies, and gentleman that may know some much needed information or have some words of advice or ideas, please fill us in!!! Nick and I (Lindsay) look forward to hearing from any and all as soon as possible!!!

i have PCOS and have used all the tests --- spent alot of money on them for the past year...hundreds... to have them ALL give me a negative results every day. PCOS affects the outcome of the tests, so save your money. I just heard of the softcup a few mins ago, will be heading to the store on lunch to get some. My hubby and i been trying for #2 for past year with no luck and getting very frustrated. Tracking your ovulation cycle is next to impossible with PCOS. so the only advice i can give is start on day 10 and go right til the end, trying every other day and hope for the best. PCOS affects not only ovulation but the actula kick out of the egg, i conceived #1 after an HCG test....horrible test BTW...and 1 round of follicle study, which im learnbing now with #2 that i got VERY lucky that it was that easy. I wish you all the luck in the world and stay positive, it helps. im ready to give up (which i actually told hubby i have already) but for DD sake i cant do that. she is only 28 months so there is still time to try and they can still be close in age. make sure you are seeing a DR who is knowledgeable with PCOS and fertility and stay on them about helping you conceive. God Bless.
