Default Teahing Ethics to Middle School Students

I am a senior in college working on a Multimedia Degree. I am currently working on a project where I am going to create a Flash(multimedia) game to teach middle school students about ethics.

I need some help deciding if my topics are appropriate for this age group. My topics are below. Any feedback will be used in an appreciative manner. If you could please let me know which topics you, as a parent, feel are appropriate for middle school students to learn about, please either let me know with a Yes-No next to the numbers or reply with the numbers and a Y or N next to them. If there are any other topics please feel free to add, and also if you feel like commenting on some please feel free to

1.Freedom of speech: What are its proper boundaries? Should it extend to include pornography? To what degree? Now that the internet is available, what kind of censorship is permissible?

2.Environmentalism: What obligations do we have to the environment?

3.Animal Rights: What rights should animals have? Our sensitivity to other peoples, minorities, etc. continues to expand. We're less tolerant of rank cruelty. What about intermediate conditions, excessive constraints in raising livestock, for instance? Animal laboratory testing?

4.Welfare and charity: Welfare is organized charity, funneled through the collective, the government. But it raises many issues. How should we help others who are less fortunate? Can we differentiate between the "deserving poor" and the "undeserving" poor?

5.Sexual Intercourse: The influence of sexual intercourse from any outside source (friends, media, etc.)

6.Addictive Substances: The influence of alcohol, drugs, and tobacco

7.Immigration: The effects that immigration has on society.

8.Equal Opportunity: Should extra weight be given anyone because of that person's belonging to a group that has been considered "disadvantaged." Should there be any governmental policies that "level the playing field"?

9.Discrimination: Is it all right to discriminate among people because of differences they have?

Thank you all for your time!

Though i would say Yes to all points from 1 to 9 except 5. You need to be gentle and keep the age of kids in mind while discussing point 1 too.
