    Default Post-baby wardrobe

What on earth will I be able to wear in the days and weeks following childbirth?
I need at least a few clothes for the week in the maternity ward (sweats and pjs won't cut it--this is France and the other women in the hospital here seemed to dress up and do their hair before leaving their rooms) and for walking home from the hospital through the center of town. And for nursing two babies...
I just don't know what shape my body will take on after the twins come out and how distended my stomach will be, and for how long.

What kind of going-home outfits are you all packing? And if you've done this before, will my maternity pants with elastic waist panels sag and slide off me the day after delivery? Will regular pants be 10 times too tight?

I asked some of my mommy friends since I haven't done this before either. I'm taking my maternity bluejeans and a couple of nice pajama/stretchy pants that I can wear at my hips and below my belly. I'll use a tanktop to cover the portion of my belly that my pants and shirt doesn't.

    Same here.
I have packed a few maternity outfits: jeans, and my loose maternity tops. I have heard that you will probably maintain your pre birth size for the first few weeks so I am prepared with my comfy clothes. I also have a tummy wrap to hug my belly so it doesn't hang down causing discomfort or more stretch marks.

It's called matress wrapping, my girlfriend introduced me to it when her son would not sleep in any position but his stomach. He has been sleeping on it for 7 mo. now and I have one on my own crib matress. Hope this helps!

I read that you will appear to be about 5 months pregnant after birth...hope that helps. Yoga pants, maternity jeans, and some different size maternity shirts for me.
