Ovulation Question

I bought a ovulation test because I thought it would help me narrow down the days that I ovulate but I also use ovulation web sites to predict the days as well. The web sites say that today is the last day for fertility but the ovulation test hasn't even shown that I'm ready to ovulate, did I miss ovulation? could the test be wrong? maybe I didn't even ovulate... any advice?

Well it could be a number of things. If you have a regular cycle, you may not be ovulating, but if you are just estimating an average of your cycle days the website could be wrong.
My DH & I have been TTC for over 2 years now. My cycles are CRAZY though... anywhere from 26-41 days. So if I put an average of 34 days in the website calculator it would tell me I was ovulating on CD19. That would be just a guess though.
Also those test are super sensitive so make sure you are using them first thing in the morning & the same time every morning.

My best advice to you is to have sex at least every other day to ensure you are hitting the mark. That is the cheapest & easiest way to do it.
Also keep using the test. The website is more than likely wrong verses the test.

Thanks, I saw a very light line two days ago but the test said a faint line was negative. I have a pretty regular cycle 26-29 days so I should be ovulating, I even had the eggwhite mucus but the test doesn't show it.

I hate those tests because they are so hard to read. You may want to invest in the digital kind since you have such regular cycles.
If they weren't so expensive I would invest in those, but with my crazy cycles I can't afford to buy 20 tests a month.Lol.
If you don't mind me asking how long have you been TTC? Were you on BC?

Sorry I can't give you any good advice except to try to relax & have sex every other day starting the day AF leaves to ensure you are hitting the mark!!!

Personally I charted to get pregnant. I learned from the book "Take Charge of Your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. There is also her website www.tcoyf.com. Charting includes taking your temp every morning and checking your cervical fluid (which you seam to know something about already). I have a very regular 28 day cycle, but ovulate about 3-5 days after I am "supposed to". Look into it, your library may have a copy.

i am in the same situation. the last dy of my period was april 27. i started my ovulation test yesterday. showed a faint line but i started having the white egg mucus this morning! i am also going crazy on all net sites looking for hope!

You most likely " missed" your surge with the text. I have taken test and they be negative but within 6 hrs were positive and then a matter of hours later be negative.t his is why test like the ones on saveontests.com i belive thats the addie , i'll double check in a bit, are a god send because they have test that are super ch eap and allow you to keep testing to make sure you catch the surge.

i would not go digital, reason being y ou can't " judge" how close you are getting to ovulation with them. either you are or you arent . with the othertest you can go by how dark the line is getting as many people have a " phase " in with their test where you can see them gradually get darker .

good luck to you oh and for what its worth id use your chart as a time frame to start testing but would definately go with the test !

I will definately agree that the online ovulation one are sometime off by a day or two. I used the Ovulation kits and they work well. Help me this month to figure out my LH Surge and when I might ovulate. Here's hoping for the best!!!
