We have multiple incidents' like that every summer here in south TX. It apalls me every time, and makes me cry every time they report that another baby/child died due to being left in a hot car unattended. I just don't get it. I drop my DD at daycare every morning. Forgetting she is in the car could never ever happen. It just can't. How do you forget your child is in the seat behind you? Even an infant in an infant seat? Even my husband, one of the least sensitive persons I know (love him dearly) couldn't forget our daughter.

Those parents better be charged!! I'm sorry for their loss, but I'm even sorrier for what that child lost due to having idiotic parents like that - his life!!

I know i'm pretty mad about it, it's not like it's a hassle to just TAKE THEM OUT with you and if it is then those people shouldn't have kids because that was pathetic that this has happened, can you imagine how hard he must have been crying and how he must have been hurting inside. that car had to of been over 120 degrees!!! DUH DUH DUH!!!! i'll let you know if they do charge her, could they possibly charge her for attempted murder?

more than likely, if's she charged it will be with something more confirming... They couldn't really do attempted murder if the child DID die... "attempted" implies there was an unsuccessful attempt... more likely to be a charge like manslaughter and/or child abuse/endangerment and/or neglect. Possibly gross negligence. Depends on alot of things though - state of mind, intent etc.

I don't get it either. 2 Hours??? We live in a small town, and I have left them in the car for no more than 5 minutes, ever, period, to run in and out of a store. Yes, that mother should be charged. There is no excuse for it.

I found two different reports on it; one before he died, and one after. It's just so sad.

What's really sad is that even though may be charged with child abuse, odds are she won't be convicted. maybe of a lesser charge, but unless she pleads guilty she will probably get off with child endangerment or something.... Everyone will say "oh that poor mom", rarely do people say "oh that poor baby" like they ought to...

Stories like these make me so sick. I mean how could you forget the thing that is suppose to be the most important in your life. YOUR CHILD . These mothers need to be charged with murder because that is exactly what they did. It makes me wonder why these people even have children, they put them on the lowest priority list it's ridiculous.

It reminds me of that mother who took her dog into the mall but left her child in the car ( thankfully the valet or security? saw the child) but it's just sick..

An example needs to be set and they need to go to prison for a very long time. that poor baby.

I agree this is so sad! It makes me even sadder because it is an innocent child there is no reason why this should happen! Yes I think the mother should be charged it is child abuse resulting in death... Very sad I hope everyone reads this and will be more careful with their children!

That is mostly why i put this post on here so people will see how serious it really is, because i mean my husband told me that he would leave me if i left my unborn little girl in a hot car, ugh thinking about it makes me want to go beat her up and knock some sense into her because DUH, DUH, DUH!!!!! It's really not that hard to take your damn kids out of the car it takes less than 5 minutes why not save your cilds life instead of endangering it!!!!!!!! SOME PEOPLE SHOULDN'T REPRODUCE i'm sorry to say that but i'm so upset about it!!
