    Question Wrong Due Date?

I was just wondering to all the veteran mothers that have gone through a third pregnancy, did you experience all the symptoms of the third trimester during your second? I thought maybe it was because I am on my third pregnancy, but, it has been 4 years since I have been pregnant last. The baby has dropped and I am dilated they say I am due May 5th. But they are going by the baby's size not by my last period, which would put me three weeks farther. My kids were small when they were born, both were born on time and one was 6lbs 12oz and my second was 5lbs 11oz. Is it just me or did they give me the wrong due date?

i was told may 9 for my due date which would have put me having my period around Aug 1 and I DIDN'T have one then. My last normal period was mid July, which would put me two weeks earlier than what they are saying. My baby dropped 2 weeks ago, but they haven't said if I'm dilated or not (haven't been checked) but i have a lot of discharge (no yeast infection or anything) so i don't know. his head is down and when I went to the doc today they measured me at being two weeks earlier than what I'm supposed to be due; which to me, is right going by my last period.
He's dropped way down and his head is down so hes ready to go as far as that goes. I've been having more braxton hicks contractions too. (keeping my "eye" on them). The last time I was preg was 7 yrs ago.

Same thing happened to a friend of mine. Ending up delivering 3 weeks "early."

They could be going by size rather than due date because size could determine whether or not the baby would need to go to NICU for your stay in the hospital, or in the regular nursery. All three of my children were early, my second child I carried the longest (36 wks). She was 6 lbs so she got to stay in the regular nursery. However, my youngest son was born at 32 wks and he was 3 lbs. He had to stay in NICU for about 2 wks. My friends baby was 40 wks and was 6 lbs 10 oz (same size as my second), so they could go by size for that reason, just to make sure the baby is at a healthy weight. Not too heavy, but not too small.

I am pregnant with my second one, and my first was born in Dec. of 2006. I started experiencing braxton hicks contractions at 6 months. But i was given 3 different due dates so far. My first ultrasound, they told me July 1st. My second one, they told me June 26th. And now the third one I had, they are telling me June 17th. And I wasn't sure if I was experiencing symptoms earlier because it is my second pregnancy, or if it's because I am further along than they tell me I am.
