Default Finding toys NOT made in China

Ever since all the recalls have taken place, I've been trying to avoid any toys that are not made in China. But EVERYTHING seems to be made in China! Do you know of a source where I can find something that's still fun and cute?

Playskool/ Hasbro has not been affected AT ALL by the lead paint recalls. Their entire line is completely safe.

It seems like now, it's very hard to get away from toys made in China. Bingnote.com has a couple of great articles on the subject.

Try toys that are made of wood. You can also go to a toy store and ask someone to help you find toys that aren't made in China. Back in December, our news showed some places that had knowledgible employees at their toy stores. They were a big help.

Alot of smaller, locally owned toy stores in my area have started selling only american-made or "organic" toys. Not sure if your area is the same but you could try looking through the yellow pages and calling the toystores in your area

Target has toys that are made in America and a lot of them are wooden, and cute. I had this problem also and I just googled made in America and found that Target has a lot of toys not made in china.
