    Please help. Has anyone ever met with a 504 team from their child's school? I have an upcoming meeting and I am very nervous. Any advice or input would be very helpful. Thanks.

    I've never heard of a 504 team. What is that? Nevertheless, I hope that the meeting went well.

    I know parents that have done this. Here's what I can share...be involved in meetings; take notes, have an open mind,
    participate in identification of accommodations, and evaluation of what’s working;
    learn of rights to access post-secondary programs;
    become knowledgeable about the disability and needs to succeed. Good luck. Remember they are just trying to assist you.

    Ditto everything PP said and also this, remember that while these people may be experts in their field-psychology, medicine, education, etc.-YOU are the expert when it comes to your child. Don't feel intimidated and ask for what you want/need. They really are there to help you.
