    Unhappy Help!

I just found out that I am pregnant and now my husband doesn't want to have sex for the next nine months. He is convinced that "the baby will know" or something silly like that. Any suggestions?

Give him time. The fears may subside. All the books say it's safe (and that the baby won't feel it or "know" what's going on) as long as you're not high-risk. Highlight those key sections. Most guys can't hold out that long...just smile and nod. And if you're in the mood, tempt him until he just can't resist!

My husband went through that at first as well. I took him to an OBGYN appointment and my doctor answered all my husbands questions / concerns with lots of patience and understanding. Find articles online that show there is no harm to the baby during sexual activity while pregnant. I agree that he won't be able to hold out that long. Be patient with him. While he might come around quickly, he might go through it again later when the baby moves/kicks.

    Congrats on the bun!!

Thanks!!! I appreciate the advice. This is all new. It's exciting but scary too! I found this forum earlier today and I can already tell it's going to be helpful!
    Thanks again!

My husband is fine with having sex now since I'm not showing or anything, but he said once the baby gets bigger and he can feel it kick and stuff, then he might not want to have sex. I don't think he'll be able to hold out very long, but still, that will hurt my feelings if he doesn't want to.

Don't take it personally! He's not rejecting you, he's just weirded out by the thought of poking his baby with his thinger. Laugh and roll your eyes. It's so temporary.
