    Default Prenatal Vitamins. Headache?

My doctor gave me some Prenate DHA vitamins yesterday at my appt. I took it yesterday and today and all day today I have had a blinding headache. Anyone else ever experience anything like this? I had been taking centrum chewables and think I will be going back to those.

My prenatals give me a general sick feeling. Nothing was off limits.. head ache, nausea, vomiting, fatigue..etc. I stopped taking them during my first trimester and started again half way through my second.

Huh - I never thought about it. I've been on pre-natal vitamins for nearly a month (not expecting yet) and I've been trying to figure out why I've had such intense headaches, for almost 2 weeks!!! I never made the connection...I wonder why no one warned me!

I stopped taking them and went back to Centrum Chewables and I feel better. I don't have the headache anymore. And with the nausea and general feeling like I have the flu or something, I don't need another unnecessary symptom. It scares me to think that something in a VITAMIN was making my brain hurt. What the heck could they have put in it to make headaches start?

I haven't had a problem with them before. I started taking them 2 years ago because of a car accident I was in and I had to take them for the nutrients they had. I still take them during my pregnancy and I have had no problems. I say just do what you can, and if that means taking something else then do whatever makes you feel better.

    Default Prenatal vitamins and headache

I went through this with my first pregnancy, however, this time around to avoid the headaches I have been taking them at night. Hope you feel better.

i think it is because they put so much into these prenatals, tryin' to give the baby everything that it needs...so...it has some bad side efffects.

I also started taking them at night and it has made a huge improvement. No more headache or general sick feeling I had before.

I was taking them for 1 month and they giving me a sick feeling, but a couple people told me to take them at night. I've been doing that for about 1 month now, and do not have any sick feelings.

I take mine with my lunch. I am taking Prima Care One, in the orange box and I dont feel sick at all. I do have headaches from time to time, but this is a common pregnancy sympton anyways. Try getting up slowly and take it easy (I know, easier said than done, I also have 3 year old). Remember to take the vitamins your currently (Centrum Chewables) taking to your next OB appointment. You'll want to be certain that the vitamins you take have all the nutrients that you and your growing miracle need.

    Good Luck
