    Smile Favorite Must-Buy Baby Items

Well, as I mentioned in another thread, I'm working on the nursery this weekend. A few people have mentioned this group is pretty quiet, so I thought I'd stir things up a bit by asking the already experienced moms what their must-buy baby item is when they find out they're expecting. I thought this could be helpful for all the new moms out there.

I have two boys, 7 and 3, and another bouncing baby boy in-utero, so I have found out with the previous two that side snap undershirts or onesies are totally important! I never get over the scare of looking at a newborn's little head and wondering how to pull a onesie over it. I went to Wal-Mart to buy the Gerber brand side snap (sometimes called kimono) undershirts. They're really soft and not a onesie and just seem comfortable for a new baby with a raw belly button. Anywho, I ended up picking up George's organics onesies that snap along the side (avoiding said belly button). I will probably still pick up a package of Gerber kimonos though...it's a tradition now.

Oh, and baby socks! My feet are important to me, and there's something about feet that I just admire (I was in martial arts, which is done barefoot, maybe that's why). Anywho, baby feet are the sweetest, cutest, dearest things ever and that first pair or two baby socks are just too much. Probably how I ended up with the onesies I bought...I liked that brand's socks so much I wanted the onesies to match. lol

How about everybody else? What's the first thing on your newborn list?

Little newborn slippers ( my fav puppy dogs)
My boppy so my arm doesn't fall asleep
Ventaire are my favorate type of bottle I used the playtex insert ones with
my first son, but they are more of a pain
My favorate thing I got at my baby showers was a baby powder scented candle
before my first son was born, and while i was waiting a couple of months for him to arrive, the baby powder scent made his nursery dreamy.
