Default Double strollers for toddler and infant?

Ok, so I'm preggo with #2, due in June 2010. My daughter will be 27months old when the new baby is born. My dd is on the smaller side for a toddler, she only weights 22lbs, and has really always been on the tiny side. I already have this motherly intuition that she is still gonna want to sit or lay down, or ride on the stroller when baby #2 comes.

So I need advice about what double strollers are best. I already have a single Bob jogging stroller, and don't plan on upgrading to a double, because I'm going to have my dd in a pre-preschool program when the baby comes, so I'll be working out when she's in school. I need a double stroller for everyday use, I have a Nissan Murano that has a pretty large back "trunk" space. But I don't want it to be tooo heavy as I'm going to have a c-section and will need to be able to get it out of my crossover easily.

    Anyone's opinions would be appreciated!

Definately check out the Combi doubles. My sister has one and it is super light weight. Much lighter than my McClaren double. (which I love, but it is very heavy). I know a lot of people like the front to back ones. My sis and I both have side to side ones, they fit through standard doorways just fine. Some store asiles are an issue, but I usually just shove my way through.

Check out the Baby Trend double jogging stroller.

The one complaint you'll see in any set of reviews is that the front wheel on some starts to wobble. BUT when you're putting it together, there is a label that tells you what to adjust in case of a wobble. Apparently most people forget about it and decide to complain instead.

Congrats!!!! I am in the same boat, I am due in Aug with #2 and have an 18 month old now. I've been trying to decide on a double stroller that won't break the bank, or my back. This one looks pretty cool, I have to admit. http://www.allreviews.com/baby-strol...it-your-needs/. I love that it can be changed depending on the need. Good luck on the hunt!!

Congrats! A tip :Babies and messes go hand in hand. But some manufacturers ignore this universal truth, and a surprising number of car seats come with pad covers that you can't take off. Be smart: Buy one with a machine-washable detachable cover.

Congrats! I will recommend this Twin Stroller http://www.strollerdepot.com/items/b...de-indie-twin/. Bumbleride Indie Twin, a bit expensive but exceptionally light weight.

The graco duoglider is also hard to beat. Great price and takes a carseat, a Graco of course.....

I guess MB and Baby Jogger will do. They seem pretty compact and tough to fit 2 kids.

If you think that your daughter will want to be the "big sister" and will sit versus wanting to recline, I really liked the Sit n Stand stroller. I got this one specifically for strolling my first and my second. My first liked to be the big brother and show that he was "more mature" by sitting in the seat, but he could also stand on the back while I strolled. He was so active that he'd also like to run around, and the seat made for a good place to set my purse/diaper bag or anything I needed to get to easily for the baby while he was running around.

Have you checked out the TFK Twinner Twist with the Joey seat? I saw it the other day and it was fabulous!
