Worried and Anxious...

I did my first ultrasound and the technician measured me at 6wks 3 days. Only the sac was visible (doc's translation of technician's report), there was no movement of visible heart rate to measure. At first I was slightly worried, but somehow it made sense that maybe I'm a bit too early to see the heart and measure its rate. The technician should what we all understood as the embryo within the sac. She told me the doc would most likely send me back here in a week or so and I'll see the heart and movement.
I went to the doctor today to get the next plan of action. I don't know if it's just me (i can worry a bit too much) but I left there feeling worse than I did after the ultrasound. The nurse said kept referring to what we believed was/is the embryo as the sac; told me there was no movement. She prescribed a blood test and depending on the results I would need to go in for another ultrasound.
I don't know why I'm freaking out...but I am. I always told myself I would try to keep things together if I ever had a miscarriage. Now it seems that's all a myth.

No matter what anyone says you are still going to worry. The heartbeat is typically present at 6 weeks but it could just be the way the baby is turned. Don't beat yourself down! Nothing is definate either way. It is good to prepare to prepare yourself for both possible situations. There are alot of great women on the board to help you either way. 6 weeks is super early! I had one at 8 wks and they didn't listen to the heartbeat or anything. Try not to worry.

i got my blood work results back and my hcg levels were over 56k ( at my 6wk 5day mark). the doc said thats great and prescribed another ultrasound. just for precaution, my husband and i are waiting til the 8th week which happens to be this thursday.
feeling alot better.
will let u guys know what happens at the ultrasound.
