    Default Sickness...everywhere Sickness

Thought I'd start a new thread for us August soon to be mommies to vent, complain, cry and cringe over morning/all day sickness. I'll start:

With my first pregnancy, sickness started at 8 weeks. No warning signs, just hit me like a train. Sick all day over everything... even water would come right back up.

With this preganancy, sickness has just started (7.5 weeks). So far just throwing up in the morning, but gross feeling all day long.

I hate it, don't liek being sick, others who aren't pregnant seem to think your just a little nasues and it can't be so bad. But it is. I'm already tired of feeling gross. Hopefully like with my first baby, it will end after the 1st Trimester. Which means I have about 5 weeks left of this....

I have been feeling a little queazy, but haven't been sick yet. I am a little concerned about taking my vitamins though. Everytime I open the bottle just the smell of them makes me nauseous. If I can manage to get one down I feel totally horrible the rest of the day, like I could throw up any minute. I have an appointment tomorrow so I am going to ask the doc. if there are different ones I can take maybe that won't make me sick. Anybody else feel this way? I know how important the prenatal vitamins are so im a little concerned. I don't know if I can take chewable vitamins or if it needs to be a prenatal vitamin.

my prenatels make me sick feeling too. No matter what time of day I take them, i feel gross afterwards. Ask your doc for a diff kind or just take over the counter vitamens. As long as you get Folic Acid you should be fine.

I went to the doctor and they just told me to make sure I was taking it with food and that would help with the nausea. Yep, doesn't really help. I'm going to just start taking chewable vitamins, cause I feel fine if I don't take the prenatal, but once I take it nausea just sets in. Thanks for the advice. Hope everybody can cope with their morning sickness.

I'm at 8 weeks now and I feel like my "morning" sickness is getting worse and worse. Today has been horrible so maybe I'm a little sensitive to it today. I have been dry heaving all day and it's just no fun. So far the only thing that has helped was eating lunch surprisingly. My mom had told me that protein would help with the nausea and I guess she knows what she's talking about. I still don't feel 100%, but at least I'm not running to the toilet every 30 seconds!

As for prenatals, I've been taking them for a while. I started about four months before getting pregnant. I make sure that I eat mine with food which seems to have worked so far, although with being increasingly sick I've had a day or two where I couldn't get them in. Hopefully I'll continue to be able to get them in regularly.

I keep telling my husband that we should buy stock in the gingerale companies with how much gingerale I'm drinking! Has anyone tried "Preggie Pops"? My friend told me her sister-in-law used them and they totally helped her morning sickness. They are just a little hard to find in the small town that we live in so I'm debating ordering some online.

I have used Preggie Pops. They are basically just sour candy so you might want to try and find sour things and see if that helps you.
I am struggling with all day sickness with my second pregnancy and finding it really difficult. I have lost 6lbs. already and it is so difficult taking care of an 18mo. old all day when you feel like crap. Feeding her is the most difficult. Hopefully we will all be feeling better soon! I seem to following the same pattern as with my first pregnancy so hopefully I will be out of the woods within the next 3 weeks

Is it bad that I've spent over half my day sitting in my PJs on the couch? I've been so sick today and am just starting to feel well enough to get dressed! My sweet husband came home at lunch to check on me, but said that he wouldn't hold his breath for me to be up and dressed when he got home tonight! Hoping I'll feel well enough tomorrow as we have our first appointment!
