I had my first ultrasound today and it went perfect! We saw the heartbeat, 129 bpm! The embryo was so teenie tiny, it was just miraculous! Of course I cried. Thank goodness they dim the lights because I just had tears rolling down my cheek. I am so relieved and so happy! Not completely in the clear just yet, I have a follow up on Monday but it's looking good. Are we really ever in the clear at this point? I think the next 18 years are going to be a bit of constant concern, no? Thanks everyone who sent me all your good energy-right back at you! Have a great weekend and stay healthy!

Citymom, glad your ultrasound went well! Mine went well too. The baby caught up in size and so everybody was happy. I posted in the July forum. How come you have to go back on Monday?

Hi ladies!! I'm Emily, 24, married to Matt, 25. We have a wonderful baby boy Carson who just turned one on Thanksgiving! We found out on my birthday (the 5th) that we are expecting again!! So that puts me at a due date of August 13th, 2010. I'm so excited to get to know all of you ladies!! Also, I'm feeling like my clothes are getting very tight, I was between 5-6 months when I had to get maternity clothes before, I don't want to have to wear them yet!! But thankfully, I have had no sickness yet and didn't really have any with my first either. Hopefully it stays away!

I'm sooo tired! I have found it best to not stop and sit until I am absolutely done with everything I have to do. Once I stop, I will not get up again for the rest of the day. It's so hard this time of year with so much running around to do. My stubborn stamina from running marathons is a tough match for this first trimester. My husband gets up at 6am (of course I get woken up) and I can never get back to sleep so my whole schedule is off. Frustrated, short tempered, annoyed, yet I am so tired I kind of feel super calm all at the same time. It's a really weird sensation. To top it off (no pun intended) my breasts feel like they've quadrupled in size. The only benefit to this is that they make my hips seem proportionately smaller funny how that happens. Although once my belly pops out all bets are off. I'll simply look like a bumpy ball with legs.
Anyone planning on breaking the big news during the holidays? I bought a little onsesie with a picture of planet earth and a saying across the top that says "Hi, I'm new here" I'm going to wrap it in a box and give it to my mom who has been politely begging for a grandchild.
Hope everyone is feeling well! Are you planning on taking any birthing classes?

hey ladies. I too am due in August. August 9th(8-9-10!!)This will be my second. I will be 40 by the time the baby arrives. I am excited!I ahev been feeling great but impatient and anxiuos at night (off the prozac). My breast hurt when the wind blows. I like being pregnant in the summer because you get to wear skirts and flip flops. No bending over to tie shoes or bundling up an dlooking like the michelin man.

Hi Everyone! It's been a while. We just got back from Disney and boy am I tired! What a difference a few weeks makes. Disney was fun, but different from any other trip since there were a lot of rides that I couldn't ride. DS, 9, fell in love with roller coasters and I missed all those first rides! It was too cute though seeing how much fun he and DH had. Yesterday, just in time for our long trek home, was the worst! I felt so sick all day and could barely keep my eyes open! Then I got a craving for pizza about two hours from home...not easy to find so I ended up holding out to eat till we got home and picking up pizza at the local pizza joint! I gained five pounds at Disney! Yikes! I know I shouldn't be so worried about it, but it's time to get back to eating healthy! Don't want the baby on a sugar high! I'm trying to take it easy today since last week was so hectic, but there is laundry to do and presents to wrap before we head up to my in-laws for Christmas. Oh, and we plan to tell our parents at Christmas. We got DS a shirt that says "I'm going to be a big brother" that he going to wear up to my in-laws. We are going to take a picture of him in it and text it to my parents right before we get to his parents so that they can find out "at the same time"...at least as close to it as possible. (They're on different coasts so we can only try our best.) I cannot wait for them to find out! Hope everyone has a good feeling day! Congrats to those with good ultrasounds! Can't wait to get one!
