Default i swear i'm going to blow

not really but jesup, man . ok byron always been big he was born 9 lbs, double his wieght with the first wk, never lost anything after birth. i've always cooking and baked all his earlier food. now he's feeding himself, i still make and bake all his food.

ok went to peds. yesterday, byron is now as tall as a 2 1/2 yr old and wieghts 33 lbs. my ped starts asking me again what he's eating this time i braught the 2 cookbooks i use ( sneaky chef, and deceplie delicous) he agreed both are great. i've removed all white ( flour, sugar, and bread and rice) from the house. he eats what we eat for dinner, has oatmeal with homemade applesauce for breakfast, lunch half a toasty cheese and apples.

so now i have a referal to get byron blood tested for any problems with his thyroid. but i know there is a problem with overwieght children. but i mean come on now, this is the 3rd time i've delt with this issue. i'd hate to loose this ped, he's wonderful, but this one issue is driving me crazy, and dh too.

he actually mentioned putting byron on a diet i mean what, he's 19 months old. uggggg i give up, i swear each visit it's like banging my head against a pole.
thanks for letting me vent ladies.

I'd keep your pediatrician, but take your son to visit a dietician. I had a similar problem with an underweight child. Her ped got me so worked up about it I thought it was a serious problem! I took her to a specialist.... turns out that she's fine at the weight that she is. All my stress and effort was for nothing! I hope it ends up being the same thing for your son. If not then you'll atleast have a second opinion on how to deal with the issue.
Sounds like you're doing a lot of execellent things for your child, and that's not easy, so good for you!
    Kudos!
