    Question Pregnancy right after miscarriage

Hi. I had a miscarriage about 8 weeks ago. I was told to expect my period about 6 weeks after that. I took two tests yesterday and they are both positive. I'm very nauseous- so I "know" that I'm pregnant.

I was just wondering if anyone else got pregnant this fast after a miscarriage. How far along could I be? I have a dr. appt on Tuesday but have tons of questions. Thanks in advance for any help you can give....

My then boyfriend, now husband, and I lost a child in the middle of September, we were only about a month along, and I found out at the end of October that I was once again, one month along. So you can say that it happened very quickly. You won't know exactly how far along you are until your doctor's appointment, but you know that it can't be that far, maybe a month, or a little less. My advice would be to definately take it easy, your risk of another miscarriage is very high at this point. Not to scare you, but it is. But--on the bright side, I am almost 8 months now with no complications whatsoever, so there is always hope. Just rest up and try to get through the morning sickness, it is by far the worst part!

I miscarried at twelve weeks August 1 and got pregnant again november 20th. I'm now twenty five weeks with a boy and have had no complications. they said my first pregnancy was a blighted ovum, where a gestational sac forms but no baby. It was still devastating even though there wasn't a baby. I would say you can't be more than a month along. with my second pregnancy it took 4 weeks before I had enough hcg built up and a test would register positive. However, it could be the case that your body, still recovering from the miscariage, had some of the hormone still so maybe you were able to detect before 4 weeks. Regardless, try to relax. Stressing and worrying will not help anything at all. I'm very sorry for your loss, I know it's hard, and congratulations on your conception. Good luck with everything.

I am in a very similar position, actually I posted the question earlier today.
I was 8 weeks gestation in April and lost the baby on 4/13/08. My HCG levels were below 2 on April 28th and now, I had a positive pregnancy test on 5/19. Please tell me what happens. We are so similar and I have to wait another week to even call my DR for an appointment (Their suggestion)

how come some doctors just choose to not seeyou until you are a few weeks further along? My doctor never game me a problem, I first saw him at 6 weeks to confirm that i was pregnant then again at 9 weeks. I don't know I just thought that they would try to make it easier for you, specially in your case.
