My son was conceived while my hubby and I were both in high school, needless to say as soon as I had a feeling that I was pregnant, we talked about it and got a pregnancy test so he knew right then and there, no cute little suprises. BUT when I found out I was pregnant with out daughter, we were in our 20's, married and had our first home. He worked Midnights then so when he got home at about 5 a.m. he had a usual routine of opening the fridge and getting out the coffee to start brewing it. So I stuck a note in the coffee can (in a ziplock of course) That said. Just half a pot please, I cant drink it for 9 months!! sleepy as he was, it took him a second to figure it out. I was sitting in the living room listening to him trying to figure out the note then he stopped and yelled "Holy S**T!!" I walked in and he asked about a million times if I was serious. He spent that whole morning making sure I ate and calling friends and family.

My husband is a Marine and he was out of the state when I just "knew" so I took a home pregnancy test and when it came back positive I sent him a picture of it saying "you're going to be a daddy." He called me laughing and almost crying. We diceded to go to the OB/GYN when he came home, before we told anyone.

I haven't got the + yet, but I kinda have it planned out how I want to tell my SO. We're both music lovers...to an insane degree. Most of our daily conversations consist of new songs/bands we've heard, and how our old favorites are doing. We often argue about whose mp3 player gets played in the car, mine or his. We're always on the road, listening to music. I'm going to have a playlist of songs that have Baby in the title or mention the word baby a lot. I'll play the songs over and over until he gets it....which could take a while. I'm sure it'll be interesting to watch him try to figure out and then realize why I'm playing all those songs.

    Default Telling Daddy

I took our new calendar and wrote "Baby's Due Date" on September 10, 2010. When my husband came home from work, I had the calendar lying on the kitchen table. Since it is the new year I said "Wow, have you looked through this new calendar yet?" "It really has a lot of cool pictures." He thought I was crazy!! He said "what have you been doing all day???? Have you been drinking?" I said "No, this calendar is just really cool....look at this picture of the monkeys in September!! Aren't they cute?" Actually it was a momma and baby monkey!! How ironic. Anyway, I just stopped on September and stood at the table. It took my husband a little bit cause he was starving and in the kitchen. He came back over to the table looked again at the calendar then finally realized what I wrote. He was so surprised and excited.

    Default Bun in the Oven

I told my hubby that baby #2 was on the way by leaving a message in our room. When he got home from work he went up to change and saw this....see attached pic.
He was giddy when he came down =O)

I took my test at work so I took a picture of the word "pregnant" onm the stick and sent him a text message. He texted back completely baffled, then when I got home I took a second test so he could take his own picture of the stick.
