Question Miscarriage 5m ago. Want to get pregnant

I am 31 years old. I began tryingto conceive at 29. It took me exactly one year after I stopped taking BC, when I finally got pregnant. The joy didn't last long, shortly after I found out I was pregnant, I began spotting, and I ended up having a miscarriage at 8 weeks this past Memorial Day. I waited 3 cycles(taking BC) before we began trying again. Its been 2 months. I hear stories of women getting pregnant immediately after having a miscarriage, but I can't help but wonder, if it took me 1 year to get pregnant the first time, how long will it take me this time. I am not getting any younger. My Dr said since it was my first pregnancy, he has nothing to reference to. Are there any pointers. I have continued taking prenatal vitamins. But what else can I do?

It took me about 5-6 months to get pregnant again after both MCs, not including the month or two of waiting for my period to come back before trying again. (Never used BC.) Doesn't seem long but they were horribly long months. You know what it's like. I thought I'd go insane, trying and testing and getting disappointed every time. It actually only worked this last time after I'd given up and tried to stop focusing on it. It was a few weeks before I planned to start BC and take a year off from trying because the MC had totally messed up my cycles and the doctor said I was usually not ovulating anymore or, when I did, it was happening too early in the cycle to be viable.
For the last month after I stopped consciously trying because I knew there was just about no hope, I still kept taking my prenatals just in case, eating lots of antioxidant-rich foods, drinking a cup of green tea every afternoon (supposed to be good for cervical mucus), trying to sleep and relax a lot and concentrate on feeling good and spending time with my husband after all the stress of TTC. I didn't plan on it but I "accidentally" got pregnant this way.
I hope this helps a tiny bit. Good luck to you.

It took me 4 or 5 months after my miscarriage to get pregnant again. I didn't use birth controll in between though and I've gotten pregnant while using the pill, I'm just very fertile. I know it seems like it's taking forever, but just try to relax and not think about it too much. Usually the best time to get pregnant is when you are not trying. Maybe just forget about it over the holidays and just see what happens. Have sex when the moode strikes, not when the calendar says you should. Just have a fun, relaxed holdiay and see what Santa brings you. I think this is why 3 of my grandma's 4 children are born in September.
