Mrsjho...yes graphic design is fun. I am planning on freelancing (and learning web desig) while I stay home with the baby. It gives me the freedom at least to work from home.

Thanks Gostomskiart and mrsjho! It looks like everything got squared away today with the insurance, so my first appointment will be on June 6th.

I'm due January 14th. This is really exciting for us our last baby was a still born at 29 weeks. I haven't been pregnant since and it's been 2 years as of April.

Sorry, it took so long to get back to this site. We have been very busy. We are trying to sell our house in this horrible market! My husband just got promoted this week, so praise the Lord, this is good since we just found out we are expecting. Just some basic info: I am 27 and he is 25. We got off BC mid-Jan. and I was expecting this to take longer, but it will all work out. I am a dental receptionist/x-ray tech. I just told my boss who is the dentist's wife, and she was very understanding and excited. Thankfully, I have great people to work for. It still seams alittle wierd to me to have told everyone so soon. My husband wanted to call all the immediate family the night we did the at-home test. I am a more private person than he is. But, we did. I have been feeling exhausted and moody lately. I can relate with not getting enough rest. I also have alot of gas - but, I'm gonna try that dried fruit suggestion. Hope you all are doing well.

Hi to everyone, I have not had any appts yet, my first is next Thursday. We weren't trying to get pregnant, but were just trying to be careful and not on BC, so I guess I shouldn't really be surprised. Both my sisters were in menopause by my age, so I guess I am still surprised.

I just stay at home with the kids, I used to work and raised three kids on my own when I was divorced for 13 years, but told my hubby when we got married that if we had kids, I was staying home with them. He agreed and we make ends meet, although with just a teacher's salary and three little ones already, it's creativity that makes us get through the month.

I do a bit of art stuff to keep myself in art supplies, but none of that pays the bills, just pays for my hobby, essentially.

I haven't had anything in the way of symptoms and am trying to keep my mind off of them, since with the other kiddos I had a bad case of the 9 month barfies. I already ordered some Preggie Pops just in case. I am usually ok til about 7 weeks.

My due date is about Jan 21, so I am not even 6 weeks pregnant yet. LOL, early bird.

Hi JanB43 and congrats! Ours is a suprise too but a good one. My hubby and I were going to wait another year so this is just a little earlier than expected. I will be staying home too and I think being creative to make it through the month is a great way for kids to learn actually. I'm an artist myself so I will be doing some freelancing on the side (and you're right, it will probably keep me in my supplies only but what the heck) :-)

By the way, do theh preggie pops work? I'm thinking about getting some.

I'm not sure if they work - yet. I haven't had any MS yet, but I am trying to prepare, while at the same time, trying not to talk myself into symptoms that I don't have. You know, it's like the baby sites just tell us, you are going to have ALL THESE symptoms and I don't want to develop things just because I have been told they're coming.

I tend to have worse MS when I am carrying boys than girls. So maybe this one is a girl. I didn't get it until 7 weeks with Rachel, who is 4 now, but it lasted the whole pregnancy. The first thing that I enjoyed eating was the oatmeal the morning after I delivered.

Congrats JanB43! I am new at this, but I am sure you will be fine. We have a couple in our Sunday school class who are in there mid-40's who are expecting the same time as us - mid-Jan. They already have 8 kids though. I can't even imagine. Anyway, we had quite a scare today! After lunch today, I started very heavy bleading so I called my OBGYN right away. They said to come in immediately. They did an ultrasound, and everything looked great. The baby is growing (11mm now), and we saw the heartbeat again. We thought it was a miscarriage, but they said this happens to 25-30% Have any of you experienced this?

Madeline, I have never had any bleeding, but my daughter Kim, who is 25, had a lot during her pregnancy. She had placenta previa and it was keeping her on bedrest for quite a while. I hope that it stops soon to give you peace of mind.

I am going to stop kvetching about morning sickness, when there are so many things worse than just being sick to my stomach.

The preggie pops do work well. I was surprised, but they do. They are expensive though. I think that just plain lemon or lime drops would probably work just as well.
