    Default Getting pregnant after Implanon

Hey everyone. I have a little girl who just turned 2 on September 7th and the baby bug has really been biting me now that she is such a little person now. I was trying to find information online about how long it takes to get pregnant after having Implanon removed...frankly all I found was people complaining about how much they hated Implanon. Well I love it, never spotted, stopped having a period (hooray!) and it was worked for 20 months. I am having it removed next Thursday....now after reading all the blogs the removal process scares the hell out of me, but have any of you used Implanon? Have you had it removed? Did you get pregnant? Any information or stories would be appreciated...I am so excited to get pregnant again!

I have implenon and love it also. I've yet to have it removed so I don't know anything about that. I would assume that it's like any other BC and that you can concieve around 6 months or so after? I will be checking back here though as I am curious about the removal process and everything as well so let me know.

Aww well I guess no ones knows....none the less I got mine taken out this morning.....pretty bloody and sore, but I don't care because it's all worth it. The doctor said that because I haven't had a period in over a year and a half the walls of uterus are thin so there's a greater chance of becoming pregnant...is there any truth to this? I guess so if that's what the doc is saying. Well wish me luck because as of 2 hours ago we are officially TTC!

    Talking Hi

I had the implanon for 13 months. I've read a lot of negative things about it , but it was great for me. My period was somewhat irregular but it wasnt an issue for me. Anyway, I removed the implant in the end of August. Happily , I took 5 pregnancy tests today & they were positive .!! So for me, fertility came back rather quickly. Its different for everyone but this is my experience.

    Hi Everyone,

I had my implonon removed on Nov. 23, after having it in for 16 mo. while on implonon I had every possible side effect...even it breaking in my arm during removal...yikes...that was an experience.I received my period 10 days later, my husband and I decided we want another baby before I get my tubes tide, I hope it doesn't take me long to become preggies. I have three beutiful children, a 13 yr. old, a 9 yr. old and a 6 yr old, the doctor told me most get pregnant about 3 mon. after removal but it can take up to 1 yr. depending on how long it was in the body. I will make sure I keep everyone posted, through my journey...on all info. I may receive.

Hey everyone! I started this convo and haven't updated you since! I had my Implanon taken out Oct. 10th and found out Jan. 16 I was 5 weeks pregnant! So it took less than 3 months to conceive after removing the implant. I only had a mid Nov. and Dec. period. I am currently 12 weeks, heard the heartbeat this morning and couldn't be happier with my decision. Apparently Implanon leaves your system almost instantly where as birth control pills and what not take a while to get out, so good luck to you all! Wishing you the best!
