Hey everyone I have been following this thread for a while because I am so ready to conceive! I got my implanon May 2010 and just got it removed today! 8/8/12. I absolutley loved this birth control and I have been on BC for 5 years and this has been the best fit for me I had nearly no side effects besides rarely having a period (which why complain about that) the only thing I am worried about is the length of time I have been on a contraceptive I hope that it doesnt effect my chances of conceiving. I am only 21 so I am hoping I am just over thinking it. I have seen that some of you were able to get pregnant right away and I am hoping that I will have the same opportunity. I have been taking prenatals for two months now. I will keep you posted! thanks...

I have been on Implanon for 2.5 years. Im getting it out on thursday the 25th. I am nervous, but we are ttc. My question is how long did it take you to get pregnant after it BEING removed. When is the best time to try and how do I know when i ovulate?
Hello everybody. I am a 32 year old mother of 3 boys. I had another child (that was childbirth #4) but I was a surrogant mother. So technically, I have had 4 children and all have been boys. After my last child in 2007, I decided to have the new Implanon placed in my arm. I replaced it in January of 2010 and had another inserted. The only issue I had with the implanon is that I had irregular periods. When I say irregular, I mean almost entire month of bleeding. Not normal menstrual bleeding but enough to need a panty liner. Then I would have my normal menstrual cycle. There were sometimes where I would go several weeks with no bleeding what so ever. So the Implanon only had that one side effect for me. I decided that I could deal with a little of blood here and there rather than risk getting pregnant again or gaining weight. So, what I am here today for is to say, I am up to have the Implanon removed next month. My husbnd and I have talked about having a child (not the father of my other 3-from previous marriage). This will be his first and last. He and I both want a girl but my concern is how long after I have this Implanon removed, will it take for me to get pregnant? I am so excited just talking about having a little girl. After having all boys, I think it's time to try for one more and hoping and praying it would be a girl.
I got my implanon removed on Friday November 9th. I was taking st. Johns wort. Along with taking prenatal vitamins to up my hormones. I've been trying to get pregnant. But now no period and being really tired and hungry non stop. Plus peeing all the time. I took a test and it said no. What does think
hey all, i have been reading alot of stories about people who re trying to get pregnant after implanon. first of all, i had my implanonfor 3 years and a month. i did not have a single side effect. i did see anything different in my life or body different that i could blame on the implanon. anywhere i had three attempt before finally getting it out throught a minor surgery under general anesthesia which i did not like too well. it has been 21/2 months since the removal. i had a period 2 days after the removal and i had three periods since the removal, no change in my period. it comes on time every month and last no more than 3days. i have been tracking my ovulation very well and even get my husband to leave work in the middle of the day and come home just because i said i was ovulating and did not want to miss any minute of my days yet no luck. my ob/gyn for 4 years had told me it was not going to take me so long to get pregnant so i do not understand why. i need some one who had the same experience to let me know please.
