Waiting!!!

Hi everyone. I am new here. My hubby and I are in the waiting stage of our adoption process. I was told of this site by my best friend. I think today is a down day for me. We have had a failed placement and then I found out today that the young lady that our social worker contacted us about last week, that sought us out is now having second thoughts. So, today is a day that I am feeling a bit down. We have gone through four failed IVF cycles and want to be parents so bad. I guess today I just needed to vent.

I just wanted to chat with others that are in the adoption process. Just wondering what did you do to pass the time. We haven't been waiting a year yet. But it seems like forever.

I'm A Cruising Mommy, thanks so much for responding to me and your kind words. I think today was very tough for me. In the past week alone four people I know have announced they are pregnant. My hubby and I have been through four IVF cycles that didn't work. So, we decided that it was more important for us to be parents then pregnant, so we decded to build our family through adoption. Well, today when I went in to work one of my coleagues told me that she is pregnant with twins, her and her husband did IVF during the summer.

So, I have had a bit of a black cloud over my head.

But, back to you, who is H.Starr? What did she do? And don't let anyone run you away from a place you are enjoying. I am just meeting you, but, you seem really nice. Enjoy being here and disregard H.Starr, whomever that is. If you don't mind me asking, what happened?

Ohhhhh goodness.
Your friend Cruising Mommy does not like me because I am not nice to 'her.'
The reason for this is that she has already admitted that she is a high school kid who has no kids of her own and only comes on here to see how other people raise their kids. Which would be fine, BUT, she makes up stories and takes pictures of REAL children off the MEMORIAL sites that their parents have made for them because they are DECEASED and posts them on here claiming that they are her own children.
She is a child predator, if she is a she at all, who gets her 'thrills' from little kids.
So, no, of course I am not nice to her. Far from a troll though, with my over 1500 posts.
She certainly is 'nice,' just don't let her see any children's photos, I can only imagine what she uses them all for.

To the point, good luck with your adoption process, I hope it works out for you. I am sorry it is taking so long.

Shi*!!!! Heather, are you kidding me. That is sick. My God, I just joined and I get this. I was truly feeling sorry for this fool. I am a teacher, and you have knocked me over with her/him/whatever taking photos of deceased children. OMG!!!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for responding and enlightening me to this a** clown as my husband calls simple people.

Akagirl: Congratulations on becoming a new mom. Hope you can have your baby with you very soon. As far as the cruising mommy thing, yes, stay away from her. We all had to remove our kids pics from here because of trolls like her/ him or maybe because of her/him. You'll learn to recognize them pretty soon, they seem to be attracted to this site. But you'll also find priceless information and advice here. Welcome to the site!!

Mommy2aboy, thanks so much for you all letting me know. That is just damn sad and sick. But, I should have known something was going on when this sick person was saying stay away from her because she is "mean". That did catch my eye, I was thinking what grown woman is referring to another adult woman as being mean. But, I let it go.

I am really just knocked over by this. But I am glad to know. Thanks so much.

Hi! I just wanted to share with you how wonderful I think adoption is. My youngest brother was adopted when he was 4 months old, he's now 15, and I can't imagine life without him. He has been such a wonderful and perfect addition to our family. I don't even think of him as "adopted" unless someone asks the question. I'm sorry to hear that you're having some difficulties with your adoption process, but I hope that your child comes to you soon. I really believe that my brother was meant to be with our family. He's also my daughter's favorite uncle
