    Cool With my first...

I'm 25 weeks today and it's my first pregnancy. We found out about a month ago that we were having a boy. My husband was so excited! He ran out of the room as soon as the sonographer said "boy" and repeated it at the top of his lungs to my parents in the waiting room. Haha!
I'm so excited about Dreyden (that's gonna be his name) but I'm nervous too. I've always been a very slender girl so gaining the 10 pounds that I have so far is making me increasing uncomfortable... both physically and emotionally. I've been having a hard time staying upbeat. My husband took me to the mall because I needed something nice for an event we were attending and I cried in the car afterwards.

Aaahhh, you should see how many of my "slender" friends have had their first kid and were in their pre-baby jeans that week after. Bleehh, you all make me sick! LOL I'm sure you'll be fine. And trust me, that new baby is worth a few pounds!! I was 25 weeks on Saturday, due August 9, with our 3rd boy, so congratualtions!!

I know how you feel. I was fairly thin before my pregnancy, a size 7 juniors, and it's been depressing seeing less and less of my feet each day. I'm now 23 weeks and 2 days along, due august 26th, with my first child (2nd pregnancy) also a boy and have gained a whopping 23 lbs. last night I almost cried looking through a clothing magazine at my mom's house cause I used to have a great ass and a nice flat tummy just like the women in that magazine! she just burst out laughing at me when i made those comments. Just remember tht you're doing it for the health of your child and above all it's temporary. also congrats!!!

Honestly, if you were in good shape before getting pregnant, you have nothing to worry about. I gained 37 pounds when I was pregnant, and I lost every bit of it within 6 months. And that was with absolutely no effort. I'm not QUITE in my old jeans, but I think it's due to lack of effort. My shape didn't change that much; I just need to get out and exercise a bit. Relax and realize it's healthy to gain some weight when you're pregnant (especially if you're eating good foods...I think weight gained from ice cream and candy bars tends to stick around longer!). Good luck to you!

Same here, I gained 37 pounds as well with my first. I was literally at my prebaby weight in 2 months, just because I was breastfeeding. I was not working out yet, or even eating very healthy! My Grama still talks about how my mom would wear her prepregnancy jeans home from the hospital when my siblings and I were born. I'll have to see how I do this time though, my belly's MUCH bigger this pregnancy, and I still have 5 weeks to go.
