Taking Labor Day Literally

After an entire day and night of contractions, a shot of morphine, being sent home from the hospital, and getting yelled at by the same anesthesiologist who yelled at me LAST time, Molly Elizabeth made her grand entrance on September 1st at 10:15 pm. At 7 pounds 8 ounces she's a whole lot bigger than her brother was.

So far Jack is not impressed. We're at home now and just beginning to navigate the world of Two Babies, Oh My God What Have We Gotten Ourselves Into?

More later after we've figured out how to get some sleep!

Way to go! Although I must say, it doesn't sound like the best birth story ever--getting yelled at by the anthesiologist? Getting sent home from the hospital? Glad you made it through and have a wonderful baby girl to show for it.

She's a cutie - and I have hair envy. My babies never have hair. Don't worry - it gets easier. That first little adjustment is a bit rocky, but soon enough, you'll wonder why you worried about it (of course, you'll probably also wonder if you'll ever have time to shower again, but that's a story for another time). Enjoy - it goes even faster the second time around.
