I heard about this late last year when Nintendo announced it at their entertainment expo. It looks like a fun way to combine video games with exercise, and just like the Nintendo Wii, I bet it will expand Nintendo's 'gamer' demographics. Congrats to them for being so creative.
I got the wii fit the day it was released...it is so much fun! The hula hoop game is definitely something. I like the ski jump, slalom, and tight rope as well. The yoga poses are pretty good too. According to my mii chart, I've already lost about 6 lbs in a week! Just be warned, your mii gains weight when you step on the balance board! LOL. I thought it was funny, but I know that I'm overweight, but if someone is sensitive about their weight, they may get upset seeing it on the screen. Anyway, I LOVE this! Nintendo had a great idea with this one!
