I'm not gonna lie

The day I hired a housecleaner is the first day post-baby that I felt in control of anything. It is FREEING to know that I can spend time watching movies with the husband and not feel like I should vacuum or scrub toilets or mop or do any of the other thousand chores. Because honestly? I felt a lot of guilt over that. I'm the woman; cleaning is sort of my house-job. I'm just BETTER at it than he is. Sure, there are still chores to be done: laundry, dishes, general clean up. But having someone come in and literally do the dirty work? IT IS LIFE CHANGING. Could I do a better job myself? Yeah. But I don't want to.
