Well, this article proves that the rights for parents in this country are put to shame compared to Sweden. I am also curious if the educational system in this particular Swedish city is better than the U.S. because our children's education is becoming a mockery. Heck, had I known about maternal AND paternal leave I would've moved to Sweden years before having my baby. I had no other choice than to return to work 4 months after the birth of my son because I could not afford to stay home with him-and that time was unpaid-I would not trade those brief months for anything in the world though. Oh, and I had to accept the schedule change for me after returning from maternity leave because they would had laid me off. To this day I only see my son for 2 hours during the weekdays because of my demanding work schedule. The few precious days I get to spend with him are all too brief:( I used to work 9-5 and now I work 4 days but 8am-7pm. I would trade for my old schedule any day!
