One of the biggest surprises to me about being a mom

I think one of the biggest surprises to me about being a mom is just how heartbreaking it is to say no to my child, even when it's what's best for him. I so desperately want to say yes and give him what he wants, but I know that's not always the right and responsible parenting choice. Being a responsible adult is not fun sometimes. Glad you got some shoes and got to have fun in the end- I'm sure he'll look very handsome at the wedding!
