Philip's parents are probably genuinely touched that you want your children to be immersed in or at least exposed to their culture. Also I was always jealous of my friends of immigrants who could speak German like their parents. My ancestors are from Britain so I have no second language perks. And yet it means nothing when I try to watch a movie with the likes of Colin Firth or Hugh Grant. I had to put subtitles on for watching Sliding Doors for pete's sake...
