I'm with you

My husband and I used to smugly say we would NEVER take our kids to Disneyland. We don't like crowds and long lines and are not particularly fond of all-Disney, all the time. We proudly said we would be the boring parents who just took their kids camping and hiking and to the Grand Canyon. Well, here we are considering a Disneyland trip. Because watching your child go bonkers with joy at meeting the "real" Cinderella just makes your little mommy heart go pitter-pat, whether you like to admit it or not. I'm impressed that you're trying a road trip to Cali and then Disneyland with kids at young ages, though. I think we're pretty much going to hold off on Disneyland for another year, at least, because our 1-year-old hates the car and also hates the stroller--thus meaning she'd make the rest of our lives miserable the whole time. I really look forward to hearing how it goes for your family--then I can tell my husband about it and convince him that we really need to take our kids.
