That's a whole other experience. When our boys were young we actually pulled the toilet up a few times to clean under it. The first toilet we broke and had to install a new one. After about 3 sucessful under-the-toilet cleanings we decided to caulk around the base of the toilet. I don't think you are supposed to do that, but at least the urine wasn't getting trapped under the toilet. We also wrapped a large towel around the base of the toilet and washed it regularly. It seemed to work catching rogue streams of pee and stopping puddles around the base.
