The only thing I like about winter is the daylight savings time thing. I decide I'm done for the day a little early, say, "Oh my, look out the window. It must be bedtime," and start herding them off into their respective rooms while most families are still eating dinner. I tell them that if they hurry and get all the things on their bedtime list done quickly, I will "let them stay up late" and read/look at books in bed for a while before I turn off their light. Ah, the peace, and they think they're so lucky. Curses to the day they will surely "get it."
