BATTER BLASTER - UGH!
2/21/2009 at 1:01 pm
This has got to be one of the worst new products foisted on the public. Yes, it may seem like a good idea, but let's get real - how much time does it really take to get a box of all-in-one pancake mix, add water, and mix it up? What's next? Thanksgiving-Dinner-Blaster? But the awful truth is, the pancakes taste just plain bad - or rather, there is no taste. I made some for my wife and kid as a Valentine's breakfast and they ended up throwing them away. The batter comes out too thick and the pancakes all look burnt (I tried this several times, with deifferent temperatures). Plus, for the price you can buy ready-made mix and get twice as many pancakes - something to consider in these economic times. How this stuff got to market without any comparison taste tests is beyond me.
