We traveled for 20 hours with a one year old as well, and let me tell you, it can be done. First of all just relax and take a deep breath. Your child will probably sleep much of the time, and bring a bag of books (pref faves, or textured, interesting ones), some toys, and snacks. Don't expect the ride to be perfect, and don't expect your child to be perfect either. You can get up and walk the aisles also. Hope this helps, and good luck!
