Yes, chivalry is dead. And women killed it. As a man, believe it or not, I pay attention to the sentiments of women around me. And frankly, I hear women saying nasty, terrible things about men all the time. Anti-male sentiments come as naturally to some women as breathing. Turn on the TV, same thing; there is one ad after then next that has a stupid husband and a brilliant wife, or some waste of life father who's annoying his daughter, or some ad that falsely claims that men beat women every 30 seconds. And chances are these ads are airing during an especially abusive episode of "The Desperate Housewives", which is also rife with misandry (funny how misandry, meaning hatred of men, isn't known by the spell check either). It was women who clung to the sentiment "A woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle". And now you're going to complain that men aren't helping you at the airport with your luggage? Give me a break. Maybe women should step off the superiority pedestal they've placed themselves on and start being nice to the men in their lives. Denigrating men is all too commonplace in the modern women's culture, just read the articles under this "boys will be boys section" and you'll see.
