Oh my gosh, that sounds horrible! I am so sorry for you! Our son is an expert puker so we deal with throwup almost on a weekly basis but I still hate it. The smell is enough to set me over the edge as well and I just cannot imagine having to drive for hours in traffic smelling that! And you are a better mom than I am for even being willing to sew her dress. I would sooner buy a very expensive dress with money that I don't have than I would try to attempt that feat! Don't get me wrong, I know how to sew, I even mend our clothes if need be, but I know how much I also procrastinate so that is just not something I would attempt. Good for you! You managed to make a dress, pack a family for a trip, deal with medical crisis and still get everybody on the road and to the destination! That is what I call supermom! I hope that the rest of the trip went much better than the start.
