Potty Training
3/18/2008 at 5:23 pm
My first daughter was so easy I don't even remember it happening. Never wet the bed; I think she must have trained herself because it just seemed that one day we went from diapers to princess underwear. I wasn't ready; pull-ups are so much easier!! But there was no stopping her. My second daughter? Not so easy. I waited for the signs around 18 months (the age her sister went dry) but no, then two years old, then 2.5 years old...she resisted; hated underwear with a fiery passion. So I just gave it up and invested in lots and lots of pull-ups. Then 3.5 years old came and I was like, "come on...you can't go to kindergarten in pull-ups" but still no dice. Then about a month ago, she woke up, got dressed with underwear instead of a pull-up and that was the end of it. In the last month, she has had two accidents (one was my fault) but has never wet the bed. Go figure. Weirdest thing. Guess it really does happen when they are ready. Don't fret overly...
