When I was pregnant with my twins, I didn't know until 6 months that it was twins. Before I found out, I had horrible pains & they just told me I had an active baby - A VERY ACTIVE BABY! Well, at about 6 1/2 months I got put on bed rest. I was 20 years old, engaged, and taking care of my soon to be stepson full time. I did all the cooking, cleaning, etc.. my thoughts were "How do I just stay in bed when there is so much to do?" .. so, my thoughts became my actions. I did everything I did before I got put on bed rest, and probably more. I still went to the store, except I was pushed in a wheelchair instead of walking. But, it seems as if we, as mommies, tend to ignore what people tell us. My doctor stressed how important it was that I stay in bed, but I didn't listen. My boys came two weeks early. Not bad, but I wasn't doing what I should have been doing & ended up making myself sick. I ended up needing oxygen for 2 days, needing a blood transfusion, and being monitored for 3 days. Now, I'm 5 weeks pregnant. I plan to listen to whatever my doctor says. I would recommend everyone else does as well. Sometimes we think we know what is best, but we don't. Good luck ladies.
