I totally felt the same way you do. I wanted to make sure everything was ready and prepared for the baby when I got home. Yet, strangely, I didn't feel an urge to pack my hospital bag. Long story, but I ended up dictating to my husband over the phone exactly what he should put in the bag and bring to the hospital. So, I would recommend getting that done (I was 5 days before my due date and still didn't believe that the baby was coming anytime soon). Also--you will have LOTS of time at home once the baby arrives (and hopefully some help from family and friends). So, I would say the stuff to worry about is making sure you are stocked up and have run errands that you won't want to run with a baby. Of course, you will manage even if you don't get ANYTHING else done, but it is nice to have some things taken care of.
